The weather is such a bummer for the 3 day weekend... but I am actually looking forward to being stuck inside for a bit. I still have to run 15 miles tomorrow... so that will be interesting as to how to do so if it is raining like this. May have to postpone it until Sunday? Who knows. Dax and I went to our friends house in Bethesda to watch the VMA's with another new couple. It was a very fun time. We are trying our best to get to their wedding which is in a couple of weeks. It would be great if we could go. We just have to work out some logistics of where to stay and what to do with Wrigley. Anyway, the VMA's are pretty lame. I enjoy and respect about 10% of the stuff that they do. I can't tell if I am just getting older and don't get it... or if it is all just crap? Trying to figure that out. But, mostly, I just felt like everyone was just very disrespectful of the actual award. Everyone was trying to be trendy and unique, and they just came across being disrespectful of themselves and other. It was a shame for an awards show. I am officially on my own for a week without my boss here. She went on vacation starting today. Should be a good time for me to really get my feet wet with things here. I am going to have to really figure things out without her here. I think it will be a good thing for me/us as a team. We have friends in from Princeton that are staying here for the 3 day weekend coming to dinner tonight. We were originally going to cook dinner for them, but I am not feeling it. We probably will walk up the street to our favorite place for dinner instead. I am not about killing myself ... I have too much going on.
